The computer is not running, it is a common problem that can happen at any time. This is your desktop where your PC is running or your laptop or notebook is a problem where your computer may be due to various reasons that I am going to discuss here and am also working to fix it.

If your desktop PCs do not start or your PC is not bootable, there are many reasons and fixes.

Check power cable

If your computer is not getting electricity then you want to see your computer power cable which goes to your SMPS or PSU. It is possible that the power cable is damaged, you can test the power cable using the multimeter cable using the connectivity check feature or simple line tester.


To see whether your PC is powered on, you can use a different power cable. If this power is getting and starts as normal then you have a faulty power cable and if it is still not getting electricity.
 

Check Power Button and Power Pin on Motherboard

When your computer is on, the next thing to do is to check that you can see it by shortening the power pin on the motherboard with the screwdriver. Take a normal screwdriver, find two power pins on your motherboard, and then touch both with your screwdriver.


If your computer is powered on and boots normally, then the problem is with your PC cabinet power button and if it does not. Also, make sure that the power pin connector of your power button is fitted properly and tightly on your motherboard power pin.


SMPS / PSU Number

It may be possible that your SMPS or power supply has gone wrong. If the SMPS is damaged, then your PC will start testing SMPS pin of the 20 + 4 motherboard / ATX connector and start the power to see if the SMPS starts or not.


If the SMPS fan does not start or SMPS is not operated then the only solution for your SMPS is the only solution if the SMPS starts and its fans are spinning

Short connection

It is possible that something is happening in your cable or motherboard, here is the main power cable (24-pin) of your motherboard and starts your PC. This is SMPS startup and post screen is displayed. Check all the cables one by one and replace the defective.

Motherboard problems

A faulty motherboard may also cause this problem where your PC will not start at all. If SMPS and all cables are OK, then it is possible that your motherboard has been damaged in some way. The best option is to take it to the service center and check it, repair it or replace it.

CMOS battery

In some motherboards, it may be that a discharge or lose fit CMOS battery will not allow your PC to start. So make sure your BIOS or CMOS battery is working properly and is fitting properly on the motherboard.

Voltage issue

Make sure the voltage is happening in your home or office is correct. This is the reason that low voltage can also stop you can test your home voltage using a digital multimeter.

Faulty RAM

If your computer is getting power and all the fans are spinning but your PC will not boot then it can be an issue with RAM. Test that your RAM is working correctly and if it is, before putting the RAM in the motherboard


Hard disk problem

If your PC is powerful but fails to boot, it may be possible that your hard disk is damaged or the SATA connector or the power connector will loose. So test the hard disk here and make sure all the connectors are properly fit and tight.

Beep code to inspect the problem

If your computer fails to post (power on the test) or you have posted randomly, your computer may generate one or more beep different BIOS different beep codes. You can identify the beep code using your computer or component can identify the problem below, with their meaning or description, there is a link to different beep codes.

Operating System Failure

If you are not able to do this, then you will not be able to use it. Operating system boot files can be run from OS bootable CD / DVD to repair boot files.

The laptop will not turn on - cause and solution

If your laptop starts or the laptop is not bootable, there are various problems and fixes.

Power cycle laptop

The first thing you want to do when you start the laptop is the laptop. To do the following steps:

Turn off the laptop and remove the power adapter or charger.
Remove laptop battery
Press the laptop power button for 30 to 60 seconds.
Wait 5 minutes
Insert laptop battery
Turn on the laptop.

Note: Your laptop should be charged to power on the battery.

Check Power Adapter

Check that your laptop power adapter is working correctly and is providing the correct voltage. You can see it with the help of digital multimeter

Motherboard problems

It may be possible that your laptop's motherboard is faulty and the only option for this is to take your laptop to the authorized service center and check it.
